It’s about more than just a piece of mail

Before I met my husband, I was invited to a wedding where a friend hand drew her wedding invitations.
Not only was I wowed by her talent, her hand made invitation made me feel cherished and appreciated as a guest.

I felt like my friend truly wanted me at her wedding, so much so that she took time to hand make each one!
I also felt that she thought of me as she made me *my* invitation.

These feelings struck me.

I made it my mission- if I was going to get married, I wanted my guests to feel that way too…cherished, appreciated and personally included!

A few years later, I got engaged to my now husband. With his encouragement and support, I set out to create about 250 original invitations for each guest so they felt cherished, appreciated and thought of when opening our wedding invitation.

The impact lives on today

The Smokey Rose Press officially opened in 2018 and still lives on with a similar mission that I had for my wedding invitations:

To cherish and appreciate my clients and customers, and to help them do the same with their loved ones through encouraging messages and delightful illustrations.

Whether it is with custom wedding stationery, day of signage, custom greeting cards, home decor, or fun stickers, my hope and prayer is that you as my client will experience the following when working with me:

  • Inquiry and ordering ease

  • Value that exceeds your expectations

  • Clear, consistent communication during the planning and execution of your project

  • Creative solutions in designing and wording your project

  • Beautiful, high quality prints or original pieces that last for years to come

  • Encouragement and a listening ear because YOU matter

Behind the name

Since my middle name is Rose, I have always loved roses- especially vibrant pink ones!

In 2018, my husband and I adopted our fur baby, Smokey who is a Blue Russian and is all gray. As a nod to my husbands love of the National Park Service (and the Great Smoky Mountains) and her gray fur, we named her Smokey.

I took the two things I loved, roses and my kitty, and combined it into a name for my business!
